In this class, you will learn about the health benefits of fermented vegetables and Laura will demonstrate three very approachable techniques: sauerkraut, kim chi and brine-pickled vegetables. Participants will g et to try several ferments and receive recipes to make their own fermented vegetables at home.

Fermented vegetables are a great way to put up the harvest, all while adding enzymes, probiotics and other nutrients to your diet that help your digestion, immune system, and more. In this workshop, you will learn how to make three basic vegetables ferments: sauerkraut (with variations), kim chi and lacto-fermented pickled vegetables. You will also learn about the role of fermented veggies in the microbiome, how they can benefit health and how to incorporate them into your diet. Come and learn new recipes and get all of your fermentation questions answered!
